The summer wedding this year was lovely. The girls were so excited to watch Miss Megan marry her Prince, Andrew. After a very busy day of primping (even Auntie Lulu got her hair done by E), the girls walked down the aisle and sat on their best behavior (to mommy's eternal surprise) to watch the fairytale come true.

The Great Dino Adventure

The year was 2013. 

It was a hot summer day. 

The adventurers took a long trip to the land of the dinosaurs. 

Did we mention it was a long, long trip?

Dinos everywhere. Payten was in her glory. 

 

She wants to 'find dino bones'.

It's matchy-match time. No, we did not dress our twins alike. Ok, maybe same outfits but different colors were allowed. Now there are three and P + E want to wear the same thing Miss R is wearing. So, now we matchy-match. Finally!

I had them at POPCORN and a MOVIE. Monsters University. What a great Mommy-Paytie-Emme date. Just wait until they go on a mommy date to the spa...

The Great Camping Adventure {part one}

Packed like a can of sardines, we hit the road in daddy's truck.

Destination - White Sand's Beach Resort, Lac La Biche
Travel Distance - 288km

Road trip was awesome...just like the camping!

More Diamonds!

Rylee was all dimples before getting her ears pierced and not so many smiles after. Keeping in tradition, we went to the same place the girls had theirs done and left with a new set of diamonds...and so it begins...

Belated {braid}

Three years in the making and she finally grew a braid!

Onboard the {S.S. Hysteria}

Just another day at the Edmonton Zoo (not to be confused with our house). Order of events...

Daddy took girls for boat ride.
Emme tried to help daddy paddle.
Emme's hat made it's escape into the (shallow) water.
Hysterical Emme tried to dive in for rescue attempt.
Daddy saved Emme from jumping.
Daddy saved hat.
Hysterical Paytie convinced Emme would lose hat again.
Mayhem. Mayhem....or is it Mayday?
Daddy paddled as quick as he could (short legs do take a bit longer) to shore.
Daddy was named Hero!

Book Fashion

At any given time, in our house, you will most likely find someone reading. However, it is not unlikely that you will find someone reading with their sunglasses because the sun is shining too bright on their book!

Bright Nights

Payten isn't known for wearing her sunglasses the way Emme is and it is unlikely she will keep them on for long.

Tonight must've been a bright night 'cause she was rocking them in her sleep!!

Baby Butterfly has been captivating everyone since her arrival (and truly even before she arrived)!

Freestylin'

Emme is always dancing - the car, in the tub, in her bed and anywhere the music finds her! The amazing thing is that she comes up with all of her own original moves...

Easter {Past & Present}

So much changes in a year. Babies grow and new babies are born! Easter Bunnies may change (and get a bit creepier) but this year the girls were ready for the bunny ~ until they had to sit!

How would you ever know that they were both cowering from the idea of sitting with him until mommy grabbed them both and dropped them on his lap!

Painted Eggs

We waited for daddy to be home for the day before we painted our eggs. After a few cracks, the girls finally completed their egg artwork.

Payten was determined to eat the egg ~ shell and all ~ but the poor egg was saved!

The nursery is finally complete so where is this little girl?!

Bunny Love!

With the new baby due on Easter Sunday, we took the girls to get their photos with the bunny early ~ too bad he was busy in Bunnyland!
